I just checked out this Chris Pirillo guy that used to be on TechTV.

He's getting like $7100 a month in monthly donations from his viewers. That doesn't even factor in the ad revenue off his videos for his personal YouTube channel or his tech channel.
$85,000 a year just to sit at the crib ant talk about geeky stuff that interest you from a computer desk must be nice...

Monthly donations? So these people are donating their hard earned money to someone who just sits around and talks? I guess I'm in the wrong business

Lol its pretty hard to get to that point. Like dude said theres million others making no money.

I watched some dude on twitch doing counterstrike yesterday. Weeder or something. In a half hour he had 8 1,000$+ donors, 20 $500 donors, and like 50 100$+ donors. In half n hr.

I'd say you have about a .0001 chance of actually hittin though if you start a channel

It might be hard to go big but you can find so many people in that mid-low / low-mid range making just enough to pay for the games and equipment they talk about its worth a try :manny:

like people who make guides for stuff like "how to find ______ in level 4 of _____", shlap some ads on it and :feedme:
or even the people who teach people how to steal things like Sony Vegas every time a new ones released :russ: with a description full of adfly links

but actually getting people to donate is just :wow: .....genios

MKBHD is banking as well. He's def bringing in at least $100K/year from his videos

bruh theres a dozen people that have broke the million a year mark from youtube gaming videos alone, let alone the id say about 100-200 people on twitch now who make $300-600k/year from twitch/donations.

but again we are talking a couple hundred out of a couple hundred million people that play video games... I got 1 video with 60k+ views, 1 video with 40+k views, and a few others around the 5-15k views mark and they are just video game guides(quick ones at that). Its very possible to get into it, but you need a good microphone + good video quality, and to be decent at the video game or at least know what you are talking about.

shyt half the battle on youtube is finding out what tags to use to even get your videos noticed in the first place.

:umad:

for everyone 1 person making money like this theres another million who make $0 from it

That because they don't put the same amount of work in. YouTube has the audience for anyone to make money if they put work in. The fact is a lot of people want successes with in a month and when they don't get it they give up.
