I think OP might be talking about religious-focused Youtubers, but in general, even regarding the ones who aren't religious, I think OP is onto something.
So many people have "followings" on YT, social media in general. It doesn't matter what they're talking about: K. Samuels about relationships, Hassan Campbell and Akademics about drama, and countless others in all sorts of niches.
Everyone is an "expert" nowadays. Most TV news is just TV anchors interviewing "experts" about some story/crisis and asking for their opinions. People arguing about who is right, who is wrong.
We have so much information at our fingertips with the Internet, and so many "experts", yet the world is more dysfunctional, chaotic, confused, and lost than it has been in decades (maybe World War II era? Way before my time, but I'd guess then).
It's interesting.
