I'm on Skype with my boy, and he sends me this video. Now, I want to say I think I finally figured out, what it is I don't l don't like about certain ***** people. What gets under my skin the most. More than the oppression, more than the racism. It's that entitlement. It's that even when some of them try to mean well, they can't. Because their so entitled that they'll blame an entire culture, instead of admitting that their wrong. It DISGUSTS me that people really think like this. I'll never understand the mind of a ***** person like this Ever. I have 2 ***** friends that I love DEARLY, but goddamn some of these people just don't make sense.

"IF YOU DONT LIKE ME STEALING YOUR CULTURE, THEN YOU'RE STUPID"

Youtuber Quote

My Rebuttal
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"If people started adopting parts of my culture, that would be fantasic"

It's not fantastic, because in America, your culture doesn't get "adopted" It gets rewritten, and people who don't understand it, reap the benefits.

"I like my heritage, so I would like to see it shared"

I would like it to be shared too, by people like me, that do it for pride, and not for trend.

"The thing about culture is that its like your nationality, your gender, or your skin tone. Its just something that you happen to be born into. You don't own that culture. You can't tell people their "appropriating" your culture. It's not yours. It's one thing of somebody stole my car. I can say this motherfukker stole my car. Maybe that person really appreciated my car. Maybe that person liked my car a lot. And thats why that person decided to take my car. But that's mine, thats something I paid for. You don't own the culture"

We do pay to own our culture. We pay with the way we're looked at by society. We pay by our brothers and sister being treated as if they're guilty, long before there was even confirmed to be a crime taking place. Just by dressing the way they were taught to, and the way they were raised to by their culture. We pay a heavy fee, it just doesn't always come out of our pockets. But we pay that fee to stay true to ourselves, and true to our parents, and true to our culture.

"It's like being in Kindergarten, and your teacher gives you the bunch of crayons, and one kid gets one box of crayons that's not totally fukked up, and sits down and starts to color, and some other kid comes and starts to share the crayons. And the first kid just flips out. "These Are My Crayons, You get some of your own. And Teacher comes and says "These Aren't your Crayons, they're for everybody" And the student says "Well I had them first" "

I don't know if I've ever seen an analogy that was this terrible. Comparing something as complex, diverse, and complicated as culture is, to something as simple as "crayons". I don't even think I have to tell you guys how I feel about this.

"Well shyt you little brat, who fukking cares, who fukking cares if you had it first? SO WHAT, you happen to be born into a culture, where you were introduced to some headwrap, or some drink, or some other thing first. That doesn't mean you own it, that doesn't mean nobody else gets to play with that stuff too"

That's exactly what ti means. We do own it. We didn't have it "first", we are the originators. There is no "first" "second" or "third" in culture. There are people who were born into it, and there are people who copy. It's as simple as that. This isn't a race, it's a way of life. Beliefs, and traditions that were embedded into our souls over time. Not just because we thought it was "cool" or "interesting". It's a part of us.

"Im happy that Korea is "appropriating" other cultures. I'm really thrilled about that. The person who was upset about "basic white bytches" wearing the ????? on their "crusty ass bodies. This person's a fukking dikk. And then get upset, that your culture isn't accepted by the culture where you live. Does anybody not see the issue there? That somebody is upset that his/her isn't accepted, but then gets upset that his/her culture is more accepted. Who cares"

Korea isn't "appropriating" anything. They don't reap more benefits from it, then those who created it. That's the thing. You shouldn't have to imitate the culture to accept it. There's a difference in acceptance, and imitation. Women of all cultures, should "accept" that muslim women wear hijabs, but they shouldn't fukking wear them. Because that's disrespectful, when the reason for you wearing it, doesn't come from a pure place, or the right place for that matter. Copying, shouldn't be the only form of acceptance.

"Hey look, that's different, let's try it, Oh I like it, I'm going to adopt it, and use it into my daily routine and life. I don't really care for it, I'm not going to do that. Nobody should have to uspet, that some a$$hole thinks that they own a culture, and calls you a "basic white bytch"

You can't do that with culture. You can't pick and choose what works, and what doesn't. Yin and Yang are always together. As a black man, I can't stop being black. Ever. White people who imitate other cultures, can decide to put said cultural adoptions to the side, once they decide that they don't like the way people treat them, while wearing it. There is no two sides for people who were born into a culture. You are one way, with all the negatives and positives.

"If your identity only comes from your culture, I think you're failing at life quite frankly. You're not doing enough to identify yourself, so you're trying to identify as the ??? and that's different from "basic white bytches"

I disagree with this so much. I think it's the opposite. I think if your identity only comes from OTHER cultures, then you're failing at life. You're so uncomfortable in your own skin, and your having such a hard time living within your culture that you have to adopt others to feel whole. That's hilarious to me. Every time a ***** person decides to take some shyt, people who object to it, always have to "losing" or wrong. ***** logic my friends.

:mjlol: You can't make this shyt up. She really thinks she's right too. "You can't own a culture"

There's nothing wrong with appreciating pieces of a culture, but it's wrong when people who live said culture, have it stolen from them, and people profit from it. They stop becoming the "visitors" of the culture and start telling people they have to pay rent instead.

She's basically saying that if you don't like people appropriating your culture, then you're stupid. That the gist of it.

I get that

Anglos were GIVEN culture, they did not CREATE it. Appropriation is primal to them.
