Expensive ass apartments for the low

Yea the same here. Man these lottery apartments be looking good but since the government is so slow they are losing the battle to developers who just want to build $3500 a month studios

God damn I make just the right amount to not qualify for none of this shyt

:francis:

Looking at those incomes those people who qualify can pay that $2500 rent with ease.

Kinda related, but I know guidelines say 30% of your annual salary should go to rent to be considered “affordable”, but I personally believe that’s too much. 30% pretax ends up closer to 50% of your take home pay, and you don’t pay rent/mortgage with pre tax dollars. Housing should be closer to 15-20% of your pretax pay to be considered affordable imo.

Idk how many people are in your household. But according to the chart the highest income you can have for 1 person is $137,940. If you make that much or below, you can apply.

Yea that’s right but as usual the government is very outdated. The average American in general in 2022 pays more than 30% easily.
