The whole purpose of spending money is to put quality, compatible players around the young core so the game becomes easier for them and you can develop and showcase them better and push for the playoffs and at least be competitive.

Hawks getting Giannis
If the Hawks make the offs and look competitive in it(make it to second round/lose in 6 or 7 games), it wouldn't be shocking if they become a player in the Giannis race.
Trae is the perfect guard to play w/ Giannis, and they got 3&D wings in Reddish and Hunter.

Giannis isn’t going to the Lakers he wouldn’t do that.They not advancing past the first round with their defense, youth and inexperience.
Mavs, Lakers, Bucks, Warriors and Raptors would be more intriguing options for Giannis than the fukking Hawks.
There isn’t shyt intriguing about the Bucks they’ve already peaked.
He and Siakam are redundant and Lowry will be 35. Masai makes things interesting though.
The Warriors are trending down. Dray is washed, Steph will be 33 and has an injury history, Klay is coming off a torn ACL and Achilles.
The Mavs are an option and they weren’t last year. Luka became an MVP caliber player they made the playoffs and now they’re an option.
If the Hawks make the playoffs and Trae has a monster season they immediately become an attractive destination for Giannis and other star players. They have Bogie who he has a good relationship with and wanted on the Bucks.

Collins is a 20/10 guy right now to replace Giannis, Reddish is a young high potential wing who people believe has Paul George upside, Huerter is a 6'7 wing whose at 38% 3PT for his career and can pass a bit and is still developing, they can throw in DeAndre or Okongwu as well, several contract fillers, picks all that.

Also, stop making it about Giannis. They have enough alluring young players and attractive veterans to swing several trades for many different players, they have leverage to have a good team.

You wanna make the argument that the Hawks could try and make a package for a disgruntled star, that's one thing. But the Hawks being able to land the reigning MVP while they're capped out is beyond a reach.
