Okc is in a full rebuild this year with kd leaving. They traded ibaka for oladipo in hopes of getting to the finals again. Voters have to keep in kind that the mvp vote is a regular season one. If russ isnt selfish in how he goes about his game (im not saying he is or isnt), who the fukk else is going to keep the game close? A great player does what his team needs, russ is doing that 10x

I've been critical of Russ too because of it, but still what he does takes an incredible amount of sheer effort. Not to mention, there may not even be any other players who could even pull this shyt off WITH their teammates helping them pad the stats. MAYBE LeBron could do it, MAYBE, but I doubt he's going to put in that type of effort throughout the whole season. James Harden is in the perfect system for him to do this shyt if he wanted to, and he's still a couple of rebounds away from it. Over the last 20 years, maybe Jason Kidd could've done it. The list ain't long, at all.
