Sadly I would have to agree. He had the potential to be a great worker but never evolved as a wrestler and never really established a true identity. I'm sure he made some good money though so

It's the truth tho. Outside of some good matches that he had he didn't make a impact on the business. His world title reign was short, weak, and forgettable and his intercontinental and u.s. title reigns were forgettable.
He was always in that upper mid card realm behind other guys. Even now he's behind the likes of cena, orton, rollins, reigns, ambrose, wyatt, owens, etc
In addition there's wrestlers on nxt that can replace ziggler easily. He won't leave a void like cm punk or daniel bryan.
He's one of those guys that had potential, but couldn't live up to it whether it be because of himself or the higher ups.

It was that and the fact that he was and still is behind several guys on that wwe hierarchy.
They don't produce stars, but that still don't change the fact that dolph can be replaced by someone from nxt.
