No NBA superstar wants to live in New Orleans. It’s not a basketball city and it’s a small market. If fatass Zion who’s as low key as it gets doesn’t want to live in a city with some of the best food then they are hopeless

are there 30 cities where NBA superstars wanna play at? Bomani Jones in that Rich Paul article basically said no way.

Mental exercise people. Can the Coli think of 30 cities for NBA Superstars? After 15, we might give up

Nah but when you live in a city you don’t want to be in and have to play for a dysfunctional franchise, shyt looks real bleak. Success can change your outlook but New Orleans hasn’t shown anything in 2 years that shows they’re moving in the right direction. It’s fair to assume from his POV that things won’t get any better.

When the Pels traded J.J. Redikk to Dallas in March, it not only upset Redikk but also is said to have irritated Williamson. Redikk had asked to either be traded before the season or to stay in New Orleans all season for family reasons and proceeded to blast the organization and executive vice president of basketball operations David Griffin on his podcast after the trade. Redikk was a veteran with whom Williamson had grown comfortable in their two seasons together, and the dysfunction Redikk accused the Pelicans of harboring is said to have stoked some of Williamson’s own feelings with regards to the direction of the franchise.

Everyone on that team loved Redikk, players didn’t respect how his situation was handled

The difference is those players signed rookie extensions with their original teams (minus Harden) and only demanded trades years after. No one has ever turned a max rookie extension, so Zion would be the first if he actually chooses to do so.

Would you take the gamble of turning down $150+ million dollars coming off your rookie contract?

Shaq did it in 96 when he signed with the Lakers but nobody has done it since then.

Not exactly.

There wasn't a maximum salary cap provision in the CBA at the time because of the lockout of 1998, so Orlando could have went over their cap and gave him whatever they want to keep him when other teams couldn't without gutting their roster. They chose to lowball him and then try and criticize his game hence him leaving to go to LA.

Dude following the Kawhi route. Soft spoken, only speaks through his family. :ohhh:

zion and Luka saw Trae, Book and DMitch balling in the playoffs and now they’re applying pressure to their front offices.

I wonder how long it is going to take before people start calling him "autistic". :mjpls:

He has to go through the growing pains that every star player has to go through. Why does he and his family think otherwise. He hasn’t even earned a max extension yet, and they’re talking about how unhappy he is. Gtfoh. Prove your worth first and then start letting your nuts hang.
Nah not with the Pelicans he can’t take that chance hell outta here. David Griffin is already 0 for 2.

And he never wanted to be there in the 1st place. He needs to go

Even then, they never turned down the max rookie extension when it was offered them. That’s what the Luka hit piece the other day was laughable as everyone knows he isn’t turning $200 million coming off of his rookie contract.
Zion would make more than enough to cover those losses from the New York marketing and branding. People be forgetting he exists locked away in New Orleans, but he'd be front and center in NY. He'd be everywhere and endorsements would go crazy.
