What makes Latifah and Vivica urban actors?

Latifah can play any role, it's stilly to typecast her.

But Vivica always got that look in her eyes like she may have just done some shyt to someone and you want to check on the homie before you move on with your day.

Latino was loosely associated with that under the "Urban" label....but now industry/corporate pepple just use/say "Latino" when marketing. Especially near the late 90s early 2000s.

there is a música urbana catgeory for them (mainly caribbean latino music)

When white people say "urban" they just mean Black. They don't mean ghetto.

The ghetto meaning is only when certain Black people call another black person "urban" :mjpls:

facts on both points

You would think in this climate that Hollyweird would be afraid to do anything approximating being misogynistic or racist.

If this is true she could have very well made a scandal of it and embarrassed some people involved with that film.

Or maybe she didn't want the attention, or maybe she knows where her bread is buttered and didn't want to burn any bridges in the industry.

Who knows. Pretty sure Idris Elba had something similarly said about him regarding a James Bond role.

Either way, Hollyweird is Hollyweird. It's a cesspool of all types of individuals and politics.
