He's not being discredited tho he's in the final three but maybe if the post season was included Harden wouldn't have went missing in those last games or maybe Westbrook could've willed another win in the series just knowing those games were being analyzed for the award also.....the way James harden disappeared for the rockets when it mattered most, you aight wit him getting a trophy after that.....I'm not, that's the type shyt that makes the nba weak. Aside from Nash, when MJ Shaq Magic Wade Kobe(I think) Bird Curry Bron etc. won they also had their teams in the finals .....now u got MVP winners checking out in the first round or not makin the post.....for that reason IMO the whole season should be under review.

Off top the only MVPs in recent memory that were out in the 1st round were Dirk in 07 and Westbrook if he wins this year. Vast majority of the time their teams go to at least the conference finals.
