Not justifying 'slavery', but if the owners had no knowledge that what they were doing was indeed wrong and were prevented from educating themselves to that effect, then they weren't 'guilty'.

Keep in mind, also, that some of the laws of some slaveholding states made it impossible for owners to emancipate slaves after they were bought.

If, on the other hand, they knew full well what they were doing was wrong and did it anyway..............

Read 'Uncle Tom's Cabin' to see where I'm coming from.

Negged for even attempting to rationalize this bullshyt :yeshrug:

So you think slave masters couldn't tell that the people they enslaved were indeed people?

They had no knowledge, but considered these slaves below them? Murdered, raped and treated them like shyt? Did unthinkable stuff to them because they didn't consider them human?

Did they even treat their own pets this bad?

This looks like some bullshyt cac spin.

Why on a black male dominated forum is there so much "bendwenching" talk? shyt is wild mango , if you really think about it.

And this...

14. Some male slaves were purchased by their owners solely by the size of their penis. And the black men were often raped by their gay slave owners. This process was called “breaking the buck.”

Come on, man. This list was obviously compiled by some faq, or half-a-faq, who may or not have been black.

Why post this here?

What I don't get is the white revisionists and apologists for this shyt.
They be all like "it wasn't that bad", "everybody wasn't treated like this", "those are exceptions" "myths".

Meanwhile white people showed their asses with their OWN races with some of the worst innovations in torture in the world. A good majority of the most creative ass torture were Eurasian in origins. Fukkin blood eagles, crucifixtion, being drawn and quartered, witch trials...

So why the hell is it such a stretch to believe that they wouldn't commit these and even worse atrocities to OTHER races?! Like seriously? Christopher Columbus?! Like where the fukk is the doubt coming from?!
