Not sure if it's been mentioned in the thread but read an article that said the father "calmly" walked into a bodega and asked to use the phone. Clerk said he didn't tell him why he needed to a make a call so he said no. WTF????
First of all, no way am I leaving my daughter. I know I'm dead but I'm going out trying to protect my child. Whatever suffering she endures at least she would have some comfort knowing her dad gave his life trying to save her. Second of all, I'm running up into that joint screaming call the damn cops then back out the door to look for them mofos. Something is off here. I guess he could have been traumatized but damn that seems strange he didn't tell the clerk what was up.

None of this makes sense. Why would someone take their 18 year old "daughter" to a park in Brownsville in the middle of the night. No matter how you slice it it makes ZERO sense.The playground is nearly pitch-black at night, with no working lampposts, neighbors said.
