As an aspiring writer myself, love the work.....I was just in Harlem for the first time back in June on 125 and MLK, and all up and down those blocks by Wagner Homes, and I can only imagine what Harlem was like in the 90's, gentrification hasn't hit like Brooklyn, as I saw in Ft Greene, but it will....

As for Pac, I may have to write up something myself, his music is etched into my memories and childhood, it has that raw timeless, and bittersweet haunting feel even 10 years later....

Man it's almost unbelievable that Pac died at 25. He is the essence of a genius. A pure genius. Totally unrefined by constraints like convention and politeness. He delivered the distilled truth as he saw it, and he had a beautiful way of conveying it.

Also, I've said it before, but it is actually an honour to be on the same forum as a writer like @Walt

I've come to the conclusion that Pac was the embodiment of love in hip hop.

There so many stories of Pac helping niccaz out or doing shyt for free.He felt like he was an ambassador for the people.

Saving Tim Dog's life....coming to the aide of that brother who was being harassed by undercover cops...Modeling for Karl Kani, free, no charge.....Hopping on tracks for free.....Even stopped his shows to give B.I.G shine when he was coming up...Shouting out E 40 and the Click when he didn't really have to Just to put their name out there...The way he galvanized the west coast when he got out of jail.Nicca could've went and got a bunch of "A list" cats to record with, but he put on a bunch of 2nd/3rd/4th tier west coast rappers and gave them some glow. You'll never see a rapper do some shyt like that again....and still have it be the hottest album in the country/world....that's love

You can say his music "sweet",selfless. He'd rather rap for Brenda than to brag about his material attachments....Dear Mama....Keep Ya Head Up...The way he spazzes out about Latasha on the last verse of Hellrazor......That's love to me.

But we all know what happens when love feels betrayed. It transforms into a terrible rage & becomes the inverse of itself, hate....Hit Em Up...Death Row...

Fukk you Jimmy Henchmen:pacspit:
