With the NBA basing awards this year off player performances through March 11, who’s your NBA Award winners?

If you want to include First/Second team selections, be my guess.

I’ll post mine shortly, still figuring it out

MVP-Giannis (Even tho Bron closed that gap a lot that week they beat the Bucks, Clippers and it was one more contender I can’t remember off top)

DPOY- AD, by a landslide too. That defensive performance he put on against the Clippers in pt.3 was insane

ROY- Ja

MIP-Siakam imo

COTY- Coach Bud

6th Man- Sweet Lou, again. Even tho he was shyt in every game they played the Lakers

Giannas. The media trying to make this closer than it really is with Lebron has become annoying

COTY: Nick Nurse

ROY: Ja, sorry Zion, not enough time played

MIP: Probaly Bam(Miami) or Ingram, but my bias wants Spence for hire to win. Went from a 6th man to 20/6 and keeping a injury riddled Nets in playoff contention even with the injuries. Hit some quality game winners.

Giannis is about to win MVP and DPOY
All NBA 1st team
All Defensive 1st team
League MVP
Defensive Player of the Year

:whew:

NBA coaches voted Giannis and Gobert for the PF and C spots in their all defensive 1st team mock picks, so i figure DPotY may come down to those two

Trez is 6th Man of the Year

Morant is should be rookie of the year

This was the smart play, but it's also why they should have jumped straight into the postseason after training camps, because it makes no sense that guys are still playing regular season games, all the stat chases count, but none of it counts towards awards. Also never made sense to bring back 22 teams...

That said, Giannis should win MVP. The gap was close at the end, but without the last month of the season to wrap it up, he hadn't been surpassed yet...

Morant is ROY and Zion shouldn't even be considered for it...

DPOY I'd probably lean Giannis but I doubt he wins both MVP and DPOY...

As great as Lebron has been in his SIXTEENTH SEASON he suffered the most from the loss of the last month of the season because Giannis was still clearly the league’s BEST player and Bron couldn’t quite close the gap.

Ditto for Zion. He needed to have a MONSTER final month to have a chance to surpass Ja.

I wonder if Gobert’s Covid Debacle will play politics with whether or not he gets DPOTY. Giannis could easily

That’s a good choice. I initially thought Devonte Graham or Oubre before he went down had a chance . But Ingram and Tatum both making their first all stars are deserving.

The learning curve for players coming in at a younger this day and age, it’s gotten to a point that we might need a all MIP team. Cause Bam and even Siakim can be considered.

It ended up being between Bam and Ingram for me. Devonte took a leap but he struggled for a bit offensively before he caught his groove again before the season stopped for COVID.
