Its not a record, plenty of albums now a days release a song a week as a promotional scheme...

I think its conclusive proof that 50 is just not that popular anymore, but hey something might click eventually and he will probably do good independent artist numbers
Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh lord. I can already see how this is gonna play out.

Album is a month and some change away from releasing, and nikkas are setting up their pleas in advance:russ:

But guys, as an independent artist 50 doesn't have the machine to push his songs up the chart. I have devised a mathematical algorithm that demonstrates that if Drake released so called hits like Started From The Bottom and Hold On We're Going Home as an independent artist, they would not have charted. In fact they would be lower on the charts than Smoke Featuring Trey Songz prod. by Dre Dre available for purchase on iTunes and Amazon now.

According to my calculations, 50 Cent's Animal Ambition In Stores June 3rd available for pre-order on iTunes and Amazon now, will sell 66,545 albums in the first week, which is the indie equivalent of selling 644,541 copies in one week on a major record label.

he was confident as hell that shyt was gonna be a club banger on breakfast club. spent like 15 minutes talkin about how trey killed the hook and dre killed the beat:laugh:

the general public just didn't have the actual reaction to the record he was actually looking for:troll:

He was even recently bragging in some interview that even though he may not sell a lot of records smoke was the most added record to urban radio for a week

you guys do know you need a MAJOR behind you to even remotely be charted anywhere on the billboards? The dude that mentioned Drake releasing "Hold on were going home" and "Started from the bottom" independently is correct about not being anywhere on the charts, because if that was the case, you'd have all these independent artist charting as we speak. Going independent basically means you're sacrificing charting to making more money and control which all in all isn't a bad thing to begin with.

Jay-z has a full 360 deal where they get part of everything. You are Indy. Who makes more money?

at this point it doesn't even have anything to do with being on a major or being indy. the records he makes simply aren't catchy enough to draw people in. his problem is he's stuck in a mid-2000s mindstate and thinks spitting 2 verses on a Dre beat and getting an R&B crooner to do hooks automatically equals success. that's why he ran to get adam levine, alicia keys and trey to do hooks for him and tried to ride the wave of kendrick, schoolboy and other hot rappers and the shyt didn't pop off.

for some reason curtis just isn't resonating with today's listeners. he's cold out here with no understanding of what people are trying to hear. he always says he's been sitting back the past 5 years and just observing the game and taking notes and knows what to do get himself relevant again, but he's clearly full of shyt.

This situation with 50 is no different then nelly & hammer...they was hot and couldn't be stopped for a few years, but when their fire finally burns out..it's done

Cats like jay didnt have the appeal to sell an absurd amount of records in a short amount of time like those guys, but he did build a solid fan base over time AND was able to adapt and change with the times, which allowed him to gain some new fans in the process;definitely not a easy thing to do,which is why jay is the only rapper that's been around since the 80's that's still able to go platinum
