You know as I sit here and think about it out loud, this situation kinda brings some insight on to Ross moving MMG from under the Def Jam Universal umbrella. Notice how in Irv's declaration he states his funding got cut off from his label, while in the process of his beef with Fif and the machine i.e Iovine aka Apple Music man now. Meek facing them same circumstances regarding Drake in regards to the machine, only difference is JayZ is no longer affiliated with that particular machine in regards to labels, and seem to be advising Meek along with Diddy on how to navigate these waters. 50 being who he is going at Meek, seems to be a wild card, but let us not forget his ties to Em and Iovine aka the machine who could still somehow be in play...

The Ross beef didn't help him at all. The 50 v Kanye thing didn't help him. I'm not sure if the beef ever helped 50 that much. His musical output was just undeniable for a good 4 years, like 02-06. In 2007 he started struggling with the singles so the Kanye beef did nothing for him. And on the singles that did hit after that, the lyrics just didn't stick like the earlier stuff.
