Okay then...my understanding is light or heat are byproducts or after effects of energy...for example u run using fuel such as food....after you run you get hot...so the heat is an indication of spent energy...

Right so in fact heat is simply the transfer of energy through some medium...or the interaction of particles transferring their energy. So your understanding is right. 
As far as light though...it gets a bit tricky there. The energy in the food ultimately came from light. Light can be a byproduct of energy release, but light can also transfer energy to a system. So maybe light can be described as just quantized packets of energy. I really sat here and thought all this out breh. Any thing else to add or question or disagree with?
