We're not gonna light it up on offense but I changed my tune and think we can atleast get by. It's just gonna be a ball control heavy offense. Stewart & CAP gonna have to put in work all year.

Kony looked good. Secondary looked good. No new major injuries that I know of and I doubt any of the key guys play next week. I calmed down from last week, we'll be alright.

There has to be some surprise receiver cut somewhere right?

Hell Denver has an ass load of receivers let's trade for one of those...

No coincidence the offense is it at its best when Cam is calling plays.

Rivera's has to take the shackles off Cam when the season start. Time for him to control his offense like Manning and Luck do.

Sounds like they may do that :ehh:

"His comfort level continues to grow," Shula said of Newton. "He's communicating more with all of the receivers. When your quarterback has a better feel for what you're doing, you give him some more freedom at the line of scrimmage.

"His ideas -- don't tell him I said this -- are a lot better than they used to be. He'll see things that we don't see as coaches. Sometimes we overthink things. He says, ‘Coach, let's not make it too hard. All we've got to do is that.' "

I concur with the breh @Dr. Narcisse on the Cam sentiment as well as Mike Shula in the interview.

Not a fan of Mike Shula but Cam is in a better situation than the start of last season.
It's definitely more talent on the O line, as well as the wide receivers with Funchess still unknown.
Cam did have a full off season with his receivers this year and we will see the fruits of that this season.

Ricky Proehl is a excellent wide receivers coach and I expect to see the talent he's spoken of throughout the training camp to show up this season.

Corey Brown is about to turn this thing around brehs :sas1:

Shula doesn't bug too much anymore, except for the red zone play calling. I just don't understand why we don't run more no-huddle/hurry up. Cam was cookin the Pats when we ran it the other night. Only thing to stop us were the drops and penalties.

Panthers traded today for Seattle and former Alabama WR Kevin Norwood. Looks to be a conditional pick since it sounds like the Seahawks were considering cutting him.

The Panthers, especially receivers coach Ricky Proehl, were high on the former Alabama receiver during the draft process, so much so, that according to a source, they would have used a pick on him. Instead, the Seahawks grabbed him at No. 123 overall, five spots ahead of Carolina, who then took safety Tre Boston.

I thought he was a small guy but I must've been thinking of another Norwood. 6'2, 4th rounder last year, I'm with it.

I'm thinking either Philly or Boykin is getting cut. Them 2 plus Bersin probably fighting for 1 spot.

Only played in nine games. Health issues early so he really didn't even get the chance to cook with Seattle. :patrice:
