Samuel Delany and Nalo Hopkinson must be some of the most niche writers in the US- Black, homosexual sci-fi writers. Not that they deserve obscurity, quite the opposite. I have a running interest in Afrofuturist aesthetics more generally, and there's a lot of good writing out there on the subject.
