As for degrading his black side, I guess that would depend on if you see the word nikka as being degrading by default, I don't necessarily see it that way but if you do I understand.
Either way I don't think Drake says it in his music with that intention anymore than Kanye west does. And again...i'm not about to organize a boycott to keep a rapper from saying nikka, it would be easier to boycott rap all together.

Gave the vid a watch at the section you put it at. Stopped when they tried to compare the word kike to nikka. I've never heard kike used as a sort of term of endearment/regular talking/w/e you call like the word nikka. 1 word is used exclusively as a slur and the other is used a majority of the time when dudes just regularly talking to each other.
With that said, I'm not saying kike is worse than nikka, they both can be messed up. That video is grasping at straws with the comparison of the two though. A better comparison wouldve been kike vs porch monkey. Also he's black, how is that not good enough to be allowed to say the word nikka. You would think whoever made that vid would have a problem with other minorities using the word instead of a black dude. Dont French and Khaled toss that word around a lot?

I see what you're saying about the SNL skit though. We are all subject to conditioning...had that been some subtle self hatred or some kind of conditioning rearing it's head on a personal level I would feel different about it. But the writers typed that up, no Freudian slips or emotional prompts.
