I knew she was white because she did a few interviews talking about all the work she did on GKMC a few months after it came out and her working relationship with Kendrick, her band, and all that stuff.

Can't remember who it was, maybe Glasper or Kamasi, but talked about how technically gifted she was with her voice and what they were trying to do. On some they hit a note and she could match it with her voice instantly.
