Kids choose what type of rap they want to listen to. And they choose what message to take from said music.

If a kid isn't from the streets listening to chief keef isn't gonna make him a triple OG. Kids see the criminal lifestyle glorified everywhere. Tv. Video games. Movies. Books. So what makes rap so horrible? Nothing. You're just a hater. You hate to see these young men be successful because their views on life differ from yours.

Well the major difference is, today this music and the music videos are a lot more accessible to people then back in the 90's. I can hop on youtube and watch all kinds of gangsta rappers flashing guns in their neighborhoods and shyt. That's what people don't realize. It's a new world. Gangsta rap was easier to hide back then. If you didn't care for rap, you wouldn't watch Yo MTV Raps or Rap City, etc. Just think of how Shmurda became famous? Literally off a vine. A Vine that's been exposed to everybody, even young white surburban kids and most of middle america.

Go outside, volunteer in your community and try to change as many lives as possible.
