I dont like the content of her lyrics but she certainly can rap if we are talking skills. She can also sing and her music is dumb catchy.

Azealia Banks has more talent in her tacky weave than Iggy has in her entire body. The difference in talent is real vast.

Hip hop is art, it doesn't belong to anyone. Let's get that out the way first. The genre is full of people of all colors making or doing dope shyt. Rick Rubin, El-p, Alchemist...they're just as "hip hop" as anyone else.

What separates Iggy is that she's not even a hip hop artist - she's a failed model/singer who started rapping as a last ditch attempt to become famous. She's not Eminem, Bronson, or just about any other white rapper who grew up ingrained in the culture of hip hop. She jumped in to make money. That makes her a fake sucker to me, couldn't care less about her color.

nikka pump ya fukking breaks. I'm simply saying her passion and fearlessness on calling out white supremacy, cacs, and new blacks is refreshing and hasn't really been seen by a popular artist in a long time, really since Pac. They fact she is shytting on 99% of the game skill wise makes it even sweeter, similar to Pac.

Not putting her on the same level of pac in any way, but her current style and energy remind me of pac in his youth. She has a long way to go before she in any way nears the sginificance and legacy of pac, but i love what i'm seeing thus far. Plus her album is probably my favorite in 2014. Followed very closely by Cole and KRITs efforts.
