When Michael Robinson's baby mama had him arrested for back child support, little did she know that the arrest would ultimately lead to his death. While this is in no way her fault, it's a grave injustice and completely mind blowing.

Robinson, a diabetic, was imprisoned for unpaid child support. Reports indicate that Robinson pleaded to be taken to a hospital to have his insulin administered medically. Unfortunately those requests fell on deaf ears. Instead of giving him the insulin, he was placed in solitary confinement. The refusal of treatment caused Robinson's blood sugar levels to spike uncontrollably. He was then taken to the hospital where he later died.

Michael Robinson's death adds to the list of black men and women dying in police custody. With the latest news of Sandra Bland's accusers not being indicted, "justice served" is becoming another dream deferred.

While we don't condone not paying child support, the important fact remains that the #blacklivesmatter movement must continue to fight against this kind of neglect leading to death. If a person requests medical attention under police/authority supervision, this should be handled accordingly and expeditiously. His death was completely avoidable. #MakesNoSense
