There are cases of CTE in non-athletes with no history of brain trauma. Still a lot we don't know about it

Naw as far as I can see right now for a multitude of reasons

Down South, Pop Warner/Little League football is a cultural event

Playing backyard/street/dirt or asphalt lot football is tradition among kids

Football is genuinely the easiest sport to play among the big 4, so it's popular among high schoolers that want to play a sport or grew up a NFL/NCAA stan, since it's relatively easy & you can get free college/get paid millions

Sunday football/marquee matchups on ABC Saturday College Football are embedded in America's fabric

Another reason that may not be as advertised is, most black people are related to people that played football, whether it be high school, college or NFL, and they have no visible brain injuries so they don't worry about it :yeshrug:

It might lose some viewers but people like violent sport. Folks use to watch gladiators in ancient times so football will just evolve into something else.
I just can't see parents down the line letting their kids play Football in school knowing the risks. If they do, then that's selfish on their part.
