What significance does the Pope have ?
clergymen are just artfical barriers between worshipers and their lord

Another reason Islam is more logical then Christanify or Chathicisim

Muslim leaders titles are scholastic or academic in nature: they recognize the holder's knowledge of the theory and practice of religion, and do not confer any particular spiritual or ritualistic authority. All men are equal in the eyes of their lord and what's in the hearts of men is known only by him, and having a pope just invalidates that.

It would be a brilliant idea in terms of Africa but I doubt it. The Catholic church is so Euro/anglo centric that a black man heading it would be too much for many. It'll happen one day but not in the next decade.

The only way I see it happening is an accelerated secularization of the West which allows the developing world to take over the Church. Though they would probably select another person from Latin America before Africa. However, if Africa develops leverage (i.e. like loaning money like Opus Dei did) they can maybe go over the top. The Catholic Church and money have never been separate since Constantine.
