With so many streaming services available ranging from free ad supported to premium (no ads) options it's sometimes hard to stay loyal with a particular service.

Plus with many newer competing services hitting streaming platforms with extraordinary deals and special features some of the bigger powerhouses may eventually taste defeat by their successors.

During this day by day tournament we will be discussing 20 different streaming service pros and cons while voting based on their design layouts, content, price, accessibility and overall satisfaction...

Let the games begin!

--------------------------------------------------------------------
For ROUND ONE I thought it'd be best to start off with the overall number 1 streaming service in NETFLIX, who's not only considered America's favorite but also throughout much of the world as the be all end all in terms of streaming, matched up against a very well known Cable TV staple who sports a good above average streaming service in Showtime.

--------------------------------------------------
Netflix's Pros:

Simple and user friendly interface

Trinity of affordable membership plans ranging from Basic Definition ($8.99), Standard Definition ($12.99) and PREMIUM HD/4K ($15.99)

No Commercials

Offline compatible for iPhone/Android streaming

Availability for majority of Smart TVs, Android/iPhone devices and pretty anything with an internet connection

Free 30 day sign-up trail

------------------------------------------------------------------
Netflix Cons:
New TV shows aren't available right away after premiering on TV

Alot of outdated movies and TV shows runs throughout Netflix's catalog

Large selection of movies and TV shows unavailable outside of the United States
------------------------------------------------------------------
Showtime's Pros:
Original TV shows and Academy Award/Oscar winner movies

Nearly 500 movie and TV titles available with subscription

Accessibility to stream on 3 different devices at once and downloads for offline compatibility

Affordable monthly subscription price of $10.99

Free 30 day trial
-----------------------------------------------------------------

Showtime's Cons:
Very pricey at $110 (plus tax) for yearly subscription

Although Showtime sports a pretty large catalog of content it's smaller compared to a few other streaming services

Not available on all devices, particularly in regards to Smart TVs

It would be a more fair battle if it were about original content vs comparing them as streaming services.

Netflix is going to beat literally anything else when it comes to the latter.
I’ve been fukking with Hulu more recently

What exactly is an outdated movie or TV show?

Alot of people enjoy watching old shows and TV.

This metric needs more explanation.
Outdated as in a particular TV series has only a few of it's seasons available for viewing or original movies that have been streaming for months and haven't been updated with newer content.

Is that off the strength of FX titles being available on Hulu? They're both under the Disney umbrella but FX still makes its own things if I'm not mistaken
I got the Starz add on for Power

They just added The Wire which I’m currently rewatching. Baron Davis sitcom. Yup, FX titles like Snowfall. I watch Atlanta on there. I throw on Everybody Hates Chris time to time. Watched a movie named White Boy Rick on there the other day.

Right now I got the Hulu, ESPN+, Disney+ bundle for $13 cash with the Starz add on I believe is $5. I’m getting plenty of content.

Neither.
123movies has everything right as it's released. I'm canceling my Netflix next month.
