I guess. Again, I don't advocate making fun of anyone but she's big and knows it so there should be some expectation with having people say mean things. I don't think it's society's job not to be mean more than it is the job of the person who is "different" to prepare for it.

Suppose she's 17 getting ready to turn 18? And if you think grown folk are wrong for name calling you must not know how ruthless these kids are with the name calling.
We joke around but that's all it is, the teens do it because they're trying to make you cry and commit that. I agree that folk should KIM but you'd be foolish to think our simple teasing compares to the shame she'd get at school.
If anything her hearing it from an adult would open her eyes more and toughen her up.

smokers weren't shamed into stopping smoking. high prices, a change of marketing, scientific research, banning of smoking in public and other lifestyle habits have made smoking undesirable to most people. but yet people STILL smokeObesity and heart the disease is one of the largest health risks in the black community. Obesity itself has been deemed an epidemic. This child is barely 4'9 and weights as much as a fullback. She won't make it to 25 with all her limbs at this rate.
Yeah it's fukked up to clown but nothing else is working. I would havein the past but I've since grown wiser and this problem I getting worse. We shame cigarette smokers and cut that shyt down... Why not shame fat people.
secondly if shaming really worked on helping people to lose weight there would be no fat people. all fat people have heard a fat joke and then some. most of those people are STILL fat.

Regardless of how someone looks everybody deserves to be treated with dignity and respect. Kudos to this young lady for even having the courage to post that. Social media has everybody fukked up in the game. Society is in for a rude awakening
