This completely disregards that fact that people from socialist states take nice vacations all the time.

And it also disregards, as you so often like to point out, that American socialists aren't pushing for traditional socialism at all. Which was the point I was making by saying Canadians take nice trips as well.

I will say I don't think hospitals should be able to gouge people/insurance companies. It discourages treatment, further drives up health care costs, and it damages the economy/country.


I don't think Lord Free Market will mind if I'm against thousand percent markups and I take the occasional vacation/live overseas. The later isn't exploitive either.

Criticizing a Democrat for being rich is as misguided as condemning capitalism as evil while tacitly embracing capitalism....both of which are detrimental to the Progressive cause and have, since the beginning of modern mass politics, allowed the conservative right to remain disproportionately powerful in government.
