I don't think people are making a big deal of it. Helen is playing pool with Howard right now and they seem chill. Amanda laughed after the alleged statement, so I don't think it was serious. If anything happens to Howard then they have to send her home for saying that she wants to stab Candice.

Candice put herself on the line defending this fuq, and today we saw Spencer take on Amanda and basically called her out because he was fighting to keep Howard. Former Big Brother USA contestant Kaitlin Barnaby has insisted that she isn’t racist and that she stands up for gay people.
Barnaby was picked up saying that gay people were “untrustworthy in a game like this”, on the show’s 24/7 online live feed, while also mocking fellow housemate Candice Stewart, saying she wanted to see “the black girl come out of you”.
During an interview on Entertainment Weekly’s radio show, the former housemate responded to the negative comments about her behaviour, saying “I actually stand up for a lot of gay people and definitely shut down a lot of terms used in that house so I’m not sure where that is coming from.”
The contestant also added, “As for the whole racist thing, Candice went around the house all the time saying that she had a white side and a black side and I only meant in the terms that she was getting a little nasty in the way she was speaking to GinaMarie and Aaryn. But I am also not defending GinaMarie and Aaryn in that situation because I know that they made very inappropriate comments and I was never really a part of that.”
When asked why she didn’t challenge the views expressed in the house, she said, “It’s sort of an awkward and uncomfortable situation for me and I didn’t really know what else to do but then to just laugh it off I guess and blow it off.”

I listened to the interview. Kaitlin basically said the "black side" = the "nasty side". So whenever Candice started acting mean or nasty they would say her "black" was coming out.

Kaitlin is from Minnesota... Being from there I can tell you, most white people there are generally not racist and they are really progressive. Like conservatives from MN are about stereotypical racist conservatives. At the same time. People there like to act like racism doesn't exist just because of how progressive the state is. I don't think she is as racist as Aaryn or Amanda, but she definitely is racist. The first night the feeds came on she was saying Candice and Howard would stick together. For the first 2 weeks she always assumed they were together. Even though they never talked. Add that with her black comments and she was always laughing at the racist things Ginamarie and Aaryn said. I think its safe to say she is racist.
