John Cena Reportedly In Talks To Join James Gunn’s “Suicide Squad” Sequel

John Cena could soon take his movie career to the next level, as he’s in talks to join the cast of a big superhero movie.


According to Variety, Cena is close to snagging a role in the sequel to 2016’s “Suicide Squad.”

No word at this time on which member of the DC Universe Cena would portray.

The movie is being written and directed by James Gunn, who clearly knows a thing or two about directing pro wrestlers for the silver screen. Gunn cast Dave Bautista in both “Guardians of the Galaxy” movies, which helped launch the wrestler-turned-actor into a Hollywood commodity.

Suicide Squad 2 is expected to hit theaters in 2021.
