Listened to this a few times through now. It reminds me a lot of the last Tribe album, in that it's confident in what it is and where its going, regardless of the popular sound at the time
Both this and the Tribe record have an Afro-futurism vibe to them, IMO. I like it as a direction that cats who were put in the conscious/ backpack lane might take in their later career. Shabazz Palaces is on this same wave too.
