I guess who really even knows what "Black VC" means, but black owned and black leadership with a mission of "investing in tomorrow's culture" and an investment in a company called Afrostream, which is supposed to be "Netflix for African and African American movies".

Think it'd be a natural fit for Noirebnb for seed funding or anyone looking for funding with a business along these lines.

I have a lot of potential ins at VCs so if anyone has a business they've started that needs funding, holler.

Pretty fukin funny...someone already started another company with a similar name.

If they want to survive...they are going to have to play the angle that its a site where everyone that considers themselves an "other" is included.

This is a real concern. I remember someone made a thread here about "Soul Swipe" as an alternative to "Tinder" and it turned out that "Soul Swipe" was white created/owned and just had one black person their "team".

Was thinking of what other things we needed... I do front end design, a little back end and project manage. Can definitely see something through with the right team.


I'm hesitant to build any social networks, just so hard to get people to adopt them especially when the big ones are ingrained in people already.
