BMW owners what are yalls thoughts on the SMH transmission?

Man so after reading up on the M5 for the last few months Ive come to the conclusion that the SMG in the M5 is Just nothing but horror stories. Is it just the M5 or SMGs all around? Rd cog of death=

Great in theory, horrible in execution.

Edit: The 6-speed M5 is supposed to be more fun. Never driven one tho.

Yeah, probably so. Seems like I can get one for under 25K but that's for the SMH, of course. I was thinking an '09 with around 40K would fetch around 35K or more
