The point of him being LA Reid's boss

. . while LA Reid is still a boss

is because he's delegated responsibility to LA Reid

So kinda like how LA Reid doesn't care what record his artist makes, as long as it's hitting

Doug Morris doesn't care about what LA Reid does . . as long as it's hitting. So you going to Doug Morris would be stupid. He might hear about it in passing but his focus ranges over a lot more things, like all of the other record label subsidiaries under the Sony Music Umbrella . . the reason there's someone in charge of all of them is because this one guy isn't going to be able to divert his focus to all of these labels individually . . and thus you have the need to delegate power and responsibility to people to focus on that as their highest priority. Doug Morris can say anything like "We want to sign more artists like this" to "Hey guys, we're mentioning Coke products this summer. Try to keep Pepsi out of your lyrics". He might say . . where going to allocate more money towards Miley Cyrus's next project. Or more money for that label to work with. These decisions are largely to do with what's making money . . this is where you as a consumer comes in. If 15 year old girls actually buy Miley Cyrus's music compared to all of you downloading Bobby's music they go . . "hmmm that's making more money so let's put money into that. Call Larry let him know there's smaller budgets for Bobby next time around . We're also shrinking that labels budget. Sign less rap artists and adjust promotional budgets, we're not pushing that as hard anymore"

And just like LA Reid has been delegated responsibility to look over a whole label . . he delegates responsibility to A&R people who's job is to look over a project. Lesser staffed labels might be more likely to have one A&R looking over more than 1 project, maybe this Larry over here is overseeing two projects from artists with similar directions, similar markets. This is why corporations have corporate structure.

Doug Morris was concerned with Bobby for less than 30 seconds while his assistant briefed him on various happenings in their company, he might ask "how much did we spend on that guy. Is there a loss there?" but this isn't his main focus, there's an accounting department handles that. Then his assistant gives him the recent sales numbers and reports from around the company. 37 artists weren't working out. There project got scrapped. Total loss, write that off as a business expense. Next 15 less priority acts don't do well. Doug nods his head. That's part of the business. 8 artists are doing well on the charts. Cool. That makes up for most of the money the acts that didn't do well and part of the artists who didn't pass development ( . . keep in mind "Development" is usually listed as a big portion of most accounting "business expenses" . . imagine some creative account now . . pretty easy to say we spent $10000 on that vocal coach instead of $1500)

Then the news he cares about most. The news that validates his expertise. Their highest priority artist is doing well.

Doug lights up a cigar, kicks his feet up on the table . . that covers most of everything and shows that he still knows what he's doing "That's why I get paid the big bucks guys"

A lot of you have worker bee brains and this discussion is a whole new world for you like you just built a latter and are looking over the edge of wall

:scust:What exactly warranted him getting a $2 million bail?

This shiit shouldn't even be going to trail, just give these lil knuckleheads a couple of years and be done.

Cases like this are the definition of waste of tax dollars. Treating nickle and dime street kids, like they some big criminal organization.
