I don't know to be honest, it's a bad spot for the Cavs cause while they do want that pick they can't go into next season with Thomas missing training camp, then needing surgery and leaving them with Rose as their starting PG. I just don't think Rose+LeBron can work because he can't shoot the 3, and while the pick is valuable, everyone spent the last 3 days saying how the pick wouldn't be top 5.

Got nothing to do with the summer league. The Celtics already got Tatum by then. They have scouts on people during their play in college. And the Celtics saw Tatum as the best of the bunch. Fultz haven't proven anything considering he was on a sorry Washington team.

The cavaliers are going into a rebuild after this year, why wouldn't they want picks?

Because they also want to try and convince LeBron to stay? If it were about just getting the best young assets + picks trade him to the Nuggets for Murray, Hernangomez, Chandler and picks but they obviously want to compete next year which is why they wanted Thomas as well.

Why wouldn't they ask for Rozier + Smart + Crowder + the Nets pick if it were all about getting young players to rebuild around?

miss me with that "celtics scouts know what they're doing" talk because they ain't drafted shyt in the last few years. if Tatum works out, he's the anomaly. Ainge's drafting is why he's always down to trade.

I'm a Thunder fan so I have no sides on this. Also I said in Ainge's eyes because he would know more than us. I'm stating Fultz is overrated because people hype him as the next legendary PG and that may possibly be, but SEVERAL analysts stated that Tatum was the best player in the draft but Fultz was MORE in demand, particularly for Philly who didn't NEED Tatum. Fultz was in a weak team so it is impossible to gauge his good he is or going to be. How many number one draft picks been busts over the past several years so far?
