The East will be terrible, once again. Brooklyn will be in the mix but not a lock for a top 5 pick, let alone top 3. There's a reason why its called a lottery.

- People saying IT for Kyrie is a wash :hhh: one of the most outrageous things I have ever read on the coli. Do people on here actually watch the games?

- :mjlol: at the prospect of giving a max deal to a 30 year old midget PG who plays ZERO defense and has hip issues.

I think the Cavs got the best deal they could.

:ehh:the deal for Boston - essentially now have a 25 yr old superstar PG and got out from having to deal with IT dilemma next off season.

Optimistic But I Got Hands Tho
IT-Rose-JR-Lebron-Love

You got shooting, you got drivers.

But where does that leave Crowder and Tristan?

Rose not playing in the crunch time will be criminal.

:francis:

Crowder gets the nod over JR IMO. Just a better defender and = % shooter from 3 when he's wide open. Tristan has gotten the nod over Love in the past.

More importantly this gives them a variety of options to close games if they all buy in. A much less predictable offense and much better depth.

IT defensively is impossible to hide but the Celtics were league avaerage with him on the court. Cavs need to find a way to get a real rim protector.

Irving is not some random PG..

Kyrie is a such a high-caliber player those just don't come into the league very often. He co-decided the NBA Finals when the Cavs won and impacted that series hugely. He's the best finisher at the rim as a PG in the league bar-none and he can shoot very well when it really matters and isn't afraid of big moments, he actually wants them. If Ainge should've ever used a pick it's now because what Kyrie has over Butler and George, he has proven he can win at the highest level - they haven't, they've shown the potential to do so hopefully for them and their teams one day - but Kyrie can do this now. Can he do it without LeBron.. as long as the Warriors are this stacked, it's going to be extremely hard - but you could do a lot worse than having Kyrie as your star, and yes having Butler or George as your star -as great as they are and can be- is worse than having Irving running the show, at least at this point.

Kyrie has proven he can win if he's a 2nd option running with the best player in the world. He's proven nothing as far as running the show as the lead.

And again, it's not about whether Kyrie is better than them or not. The question is does he move the needle for the Celtics more? If he's this top 5 caliber superstar that's been held back waiting to unleash like some of you claim then the questions will be answered quickly. If not, then well...

Mannnnnnnnnnnnn against who?

They dominated teams in the East...?

It's not like the Cavs were the youngest/athletic teams in the league

When bron was on the floor Kyrie was bread and butter

When Lebron was off the floor KYRIE was bread and butter

I agree, they gotta figure out how to utilize Rose in a valuable way.....I think he is way more important to all this being successful than some realize

i know rose is ya mans
but that defense against other guards and wings will be :mjlol: :mjlol: :mjlol: status

There's like 5 guards who play defense bruh.

IT is the woat defender at the 1 spot. Dude would get subbed in crunch time on some offense-defense football shyt. The fact that this midget is gonna get dibs in crunch time just because they have to sell the trade is pathetic. I'm already heated.

Smith is a SG, unless James is playing PF, Smith will start.
