in a sort of unrelated note, people say it was Masta Ace, but I feel like it was ELZHI that Eminem stole his Slim Shady era delivery style from. Everybody who's heard Em's first "Infinite" album knows he didnt' sound like that at first.

But at the same time, I really don't know the time frame that El and Em both started rapping, or what Detroit's underground scene was like.

ive always loved this vid. Especially when he talks about MAINTAINING the conversation (in rhyme) while doing all these different rhyme patterns. Cats dont realize the talent it takes to rap about a subject and stay on topic WHILE utilizing different rhyming techniques. Thats why most of these wack ":rappers" can only utilize the basic 1-syllable at the end rhyme technique

I've said this pelent of times but Elzhi is the perfect rapper. He's one of the guys that can rap about any subject whilst maintaining an elite level of lyricism, pocket rhythm and rhyming.
