Technically that's true. Plus, when factoring in worldwide gross, you have to factor in the percentage of the money that is being taken off the top by each country.

For example, in China studios only get like 30% of the gross.

Suicide Squad was not released in China. So, on average SS is raking in more cash overseas from each country it was released in.

There's a difference between box office gross and actual profits.

Also, how much merchandise, toys, shirts, other collectibles did SS sell as opposed to Doctor Strange? I would say SS most likely made a lot more profit than Doctor Strange when all that is factored in.
