The problem with trying to make what is essentially
the same word a "Greeting" is you get people who
think calling a black breh "N***a" isn't insulting
or out of line.
A perfect example of this is the white man from Florida
with the "Blue lives matter" sign. He clearly used N***a
as a way to demean and antagonize the black people recording
him. However, when the video was released there were non-black commenters who couldn't understand why "N***a" was considered an insult or even ran to his defense using a similar version of the stances/arguments in this thread.
As in "Well he said N***a not N***er so I don't see the problem".

Totally agree. The whole thing gets convoluted because the word nikka can still be seen as an insult even without the -er. This shyt is just too complicated and unnecessary. I'm for eliminating the word altogether.
