Nidoran doesn’t get double kick that early in Red and Blue, only in Yellow.

Eventually I learned to get a Butterfree to wash Brock and put to sleep an Abra. The once that Abra evolved we was running through gym leaders.

Abra and Dugtrio (pre patch) was OP in the original. Ran through everyone with just them two.

I picked Squirtle on my very first playthrough and Charmander on my second playthrough. Charmander had it rough in the beginning of the game though. Misty's water pokemon would be like , use bubblebeam and keep it moving if you brought him out to fight.
