If they suspect something is up. They contact child protection services. They don't pick up their phone in the middle of an incident to "check the parents"

For all we know she could have contacted the parents or a counselor/CPS after the fact.


Kids don't do what they are supposed to do. If they did, they wouldn't need adults.

Is this an "alternative" school for bad kids? If so...that shyt in the video was kinda light compared to the type of shyt that goes on daily in these type of schools...went to alotta schools like this growing up.

It use just be called Chicago Vocational School, school is big as hell..but yea the level of disrespect is crazy. You will always have some kids here and there that talk back or don't wanna do right...but this was on some other. Unacceptable...dont care it it was 2015..2011 or 1914

I understand that this issue exist. I've seen it happen while I was going to school. Most of the comments here are on point calling out the behavior of those students. But what I'm trying to state is the media is a powerful tool that can be used to divide people on issues that matter. It's very important that we should be concerned about how we as black people are being portrayed in the media. As I stated in my earlier post, people outside and inside our community will view this videos and countless others to justify police brutality and death among our brothers and sisters. We need to be aware of how this chess game is being played out.

Racists don't need a justification.

The state has never had sympathy for Black people. Videos or not, media or no, that's always going to stand.

And that's what happens when you beg for White acceptance. Instead of Black people looking at this video as "A few bad apples that WE(the black community) can handle ouraelves" our thirst for White/Mainstream acceptance has us in position where we're like:

"N-N-Not all of our children are like this Mr. White Man. I hope you don't hate us."

"Hey White Mr.White Man, this is vid doesn't justify past treatments of Black kids(like Treyvon, Mike Brown, the young girl in Spring Valley) Please don't hate us. Mr. White Man, please still allow Black Lives Matter in your heart."

If we viewed videos like this as "A few bad apples" the same way White people view mass shootings carried out by Whites, vagrants being beaten by White kids, College Sports Riots, and other nefarious, dastardly deeds carried out by Young Whites, then we as Black people would be able to dissect videos like this with ease. Instead of constantly worrying about "What are White people gonna say about our youth this time"

I'm guilty of worrying what they'll say also.

Just because it has the name "vocational school" doesn't neccesarily mean it ain't an alternative school...i know alot of alternative schools thats are similarly named...but i'll take your word for it

The things is, black people ARE fighting to fix these issues. It's a myth that we aren't. Black educational and economic achievement is at its highest level ever. Crime and drug use down. If it wasn't black people who made this happen, then who did?

And i disagree with the thing you said about TV. In general popular culture is full of negative images, has nothing to do with just black people. I don't watch or indulge in most of that shyt, but I don't like the idea of singling out black people for it as if we are the only ones participating.

To me that strips us of our freedom. We all have to be amazing people, and follow some extreme code of perfect behavior, while everyone else has the freedom or privilege to be charley sheen if they want to.

The problem is that the bad shyt on tv and the radio isn't being taught or reinforced to the kids as "bad" by parents

The fact that this random clip has evolved into a platinum thread about the entire black community and is now on WorldStar is a testament of the power of media propaganda. Media propaganda has turned black people into a monolith. Like it or not, this video is a reflection on all black people. If this was a white, j*wish, or asian kid it would be considered an isolated incident and not a reflection on the ENTIRE community. Sadly, alot of black people will watch this vid and wish death upon that young man instead of wondering what factors caused his behavior. That is what they want
