About the China Jamaica dealings. Not sure of the exact details but the Jamaican govt. isn't or wasn't going to spend the money to develop the country's infrastructure.

Jamaica is NOT a poor country and they have the labor to develop and build infrastructure but for various reasons did NOT do it.

China offers to do it, leaders jump at the chance.....pocket the money in the budget that was earmarked for public works .

Similar to how Mexican leaders weren't forced to develop their nation's economy because so many illegals were in America sending money to Mexico and supporting the economy.

Jamaica is poor, and Mexico isn't as developed as it could be thanks to government mishandling of vast resource wealth.

Have you read the history on how the US fukked up Haiti? Sponsoring coups and insurrection? Like the 2004 uprising was backed by the DIA. The armed former military men led by Guy Phillippe was trained by the US. It was the US who backed FRAPH. A far right paramilitary death squad (my uncle was a member of before he got killed in 2000) that slaughtered pro democracy Haitian. The same US who told Aristide to demobilize the army which led to tens of thousands of military veterans in the streets forming gangs which led to a crime wave in the nation. Also made the nation weak and more destabilized. It was the It was the US who killed off the black pigs in Haiti which was a livelihood for many including my grandfather. No they paid of Duvalier to convince the Haitian people to kill off the black pigs and buy American pink pigs who aren't durable as the black ones. The US has done NOTHING for Haiti but destabilize it, put more economic hardship and political chaos in the nation. Haitians relize this and would rather deal with China because we have dealt with the US too many times and every time we got worse off.

At the end of the day I trust the US gov as much or little as I trust the Chinese.

They are even a lot more forward with their shyt instead of just acting nice like the US.
If the Haitian gov doesn't just fold and become pawns, this could be a win win situation.
