North Jersey but I miss Cali :sadcam:
its not impossible, its just when you are up you go slower to kill clock

philadephia defense was never strong anyways

When Philly switched it up it killed their momentum. They scored 33 points but that fast pace left way too much time on the clock. NFL is more physical and brutal than college. Players are going to get hurt. These aren't 19 and 20 year olds.

how? by running an offense that has already been run in the nfl before?...this shyt aint nothing but the run and gun, no huddle....the bills used to run this same offense in the late 80s early 90s...they called it the 'Kelly o' or some shyt like that...the falcons and oilers ran it too thanks to jerry Glanville (sp)...anyway, only difference between that and this/the new spread offenses being run is you have more athletic qbs now, so they can do more than just stand back there and throw...

they were up by 20 something points, mostly any nfl team up by that much goes to start killing clock, ala running the ball more, waiting to hike it at under 5 seconds, philly d just couldn't hold, as well it was week 1.

Yes the NFl is more physical and brutal than college and that';s why chip was easing up

Um no, the core of chip kelly's offense is he needs a quarterback who, if the defense "forces" him to run, "can do it effectively. The whole offence is based on that, and has always been from the dennis dixon, jeremiah masoli, darron thomas days

Vick will get hurt by week 8. This style of offense actually makes games longer. It's impossible to go at that pace for an entire game and like in this game against the skins their own defense wore down. Washington almost came back.

actually it doesn't...and you dont go at that pace the whole game....he's gonna do the same shyt he did in college: go no huddle fast to get a lead, then go no huddle slow to end the game/milk the clock...

now, I do agree he's gonna have to adjust the pace some...the reason being if he goes fast so much, the first time the team goes 3 and out, his defense in trouble....he's not going against over matched college teams anymore...nfl teams will start pounding his defense....

that's what I said, hence the part about 'more athletic qbs'....the no huddle, going fast shyt isn't new...that shyt has been run before in the pros...the thing that's new is the qb has changed...the qb is athletic and can do more than just drop back and pass, which adds a new dimension to the offense, aka a qb being able to run too

"revolutionize this sport"

More like get NFL QB's killed. I'm sure this thread will get bumped once Vick goes out with a season ending injury.

Please don't forget about Urb "da gawd" Meyer.

Made Alex Smith the #1 pick at Utah.

he already did in college

shout out to mike leach, dana holgerson, rich rod, sonny dykes, kevin sumlin, kliff kingsubry, as well

Please don't forget about Bob "Da Gawd" Stoops.

He hired Mike Leach and Kevin Sumlin at Oklahoma and set-up both to go on to successful head coaching jobs.

Remember when the spread first came to the SEC and people were like "that isn't going to work with the speed of SEC defenses"
how did that turn out?
