2015??

I thought this was gonna be about some shyt from the 50s. Sugary drinks being unhealthy has been well known for quite sometime.

But I don’t mean to detract from the thread, the overarching issue of paid research affecting scientific findings is problematic and more prevalent than most people realize.

No, it really doesn’t. All it means is that you should look at who’s funding the research you’re looking at. That’s a fairly simple concept. For instance don’t listen to any scientist that’s telling you fracking is good for the planet if their funding comes from the Koch brothers.

if your logical conclusion from this is that ALL scientific studies are false then you didn’t read the story properly OR u came in already with an ignorant thought on scientific studies.

Sometimes you guys allow ur ignorant bias to take over entirely too quickly

Okay goddam

The bolded is fine :skip:

Science just like any field can be bought and has. The issue is many have been duped to think science is its own master and flows universal but the pandemic and history has proven otherwise.

Obviously. Corporate interests always trump public health. The government refuses to increase research funding - so corporations step in and make sure to “sweeten” the research :yeshrug:
