FOH with the Kobe isn't close :childplease:

Look at :flabbynsick: Kobe go to work

yea, its pretty close. Kobe post game is more basic to me but still as effective. Id say wade is closer though. Wade has a lot of post moves and is smart. But Pennys just more natural and unstoppable being a little taller and closer to a SF.

Obviously Kobe and Wade.

Just throwing this name out there. He didnt have the height advantage like Penny, but Gary Payton was strong in the post.

I know im gonna get shyt for this one, and I hate this dude, but Andre Miller is probably one of best post up guards in the league right now.

Kobe has a nice post-FADE. But penny would back down and post from near the 3 point line. Hed use it as part of his dribble iso. Kobe just would post up on the block and make his move.
thats because you were allowed to do that back then. Players are not allowed to post up like that anymore. Its the Mark Jackson/CHarles Barkley rule.

Penny would back down from the block in today's NBA and Kobe would back down from the 3 point line in that NBA also.

The answer is Kobe and Wade because he smaller.

Gary Payton was great at it too.

I wish I could see more guards from the pre-Jordan era like Andrew Toney and World B. Free.

Dennis Johnson in Seattle was supposedly good backing down guards as well.

Just stumbled on this video and was amazed by the post moves and amount of plays where his back is to the basket.

That type of offense doesn't exist in the NBA today, especially with guards.

Wade and Kobe are the only two I can think of, but it still isn't close. :whoa:

On a side note, just imagine if Lebron had a post game like Penny:ohlawd:

Kobe's post up game is better than Penny's was.

None of them comes close to MJ tho. Steve Smith (in his prime) is an honorable mention. DWade can be put in that class too but Wade's fadeaway is average at best.

Where Penny thrived was his hesitation dribble. Dude would fake the wide-angle camera out
