Could Winter Soldier be the best superhero movie ever made?

Word? Nah. He played Dent perfectly and he was nice and vicious as Two Face. The only issue I have with it is the time they gave him in the role but that's not his fault

bruce wayne fails at life for losing his woman to that swagless cornball. and yes him waking up out nowhere and wanting to be a supervillain, that was awful too.

That final one with him and Gordon and Bruce while holding Gordon's son at gunpoint. That's a scene that practically crystalizes the movie and embodies everything its about from a thematic standpoint.

supporting cast in that movie was pure garbage. everyone is so boring. cap's supporting cast in TWS destroys them. fury, widow, falcon...not even a contest.

i can understand why people would argue against it though, from the angle that heath is the star and the reason for the acclaim.

And Heath's performance is clearly the standout performance but the rest of the movie works so well that it shouldn't matter. The stuff with batman works, the stuff with Gordon works and the stuff with Dent works and for the most part, its all compelling. The only issue I've ever had with the movie is the lack of chemistry Maggie has with Christian and Aaron. But that doesn't make their pain less relatable. I've said this before on here but Heath had the showier part, so it would be easy for him to be the standout guy. Batman is all about control and calm and focus, Harvey is all about justice and containing the rage inside. With the joker, you can let go of all of that and just be as wild and chaotic as you want to be because he's the more theatrical part. He's big, he's loud, he rocks more purple than prince. If you're playing the joker and not the standout, you're doing something wrong

This is how I feel as well. My only issue with two face was the design of his face, and how he was in the hospital for like 3 days with that much damage, too unrealistic (yes its a comic book movie, but for the most part Nolan based everything to be as realistic as possible....ex. Heath doing his own makeup etc) Really wish Dent was brought back for part 3 as two face, but o well. And of course Heaths performance as the Joker was what everyone talked about and thought was the best part of the movie....just as Letos will probably be in whatever films hes in as the Joker....cause hes the fukking Joker....

but that's ALL people talk about when it comes to TDK. darth vader was an iconic villain too but he's not the only good thing about empire strikes back. there are other things to talk about. there are other things going on that hold our interest, other characters.

dark knight is on tnt all the time. i'll tell you... i have seen the light. i mean have you TRIED to watch that movie from beginning to end? in between the ledger scenes that movie is TERRIBLE! and it drags on for so long!

anyways i'm getting off track here. even if you guys loved the movie i still fail to see anyone here present a counter argument as to how it was BETTER than winter soldier... which is a movie that delivers in story, action and performances from start to finish.
