WCW ended because of the AOL time Warner acquisition and tnt wanting to change the direction of tnt to show more drama shows

i honestly didn't know shyt about wrestling in 1999. i was 8 years old. i just knew what was cool and i realized wcw sucked. it wasn't even a value judgement on the wrestling like i would make now. so i've seen very little after like june 1999 wcw.

WCW 2000 was actually alot worse than I remember. Maybe because I was younger I couldn't grasp how absurd it got.

I believe they were thinking of keeping nitro and wcw as a separate brand but the Booker T Buff Bagwell match was so bad the whole thing was squashed and then Vince had the WCW talent squashed by their home grown stars
I started on the first episode of 99 and now i've made it to like the third episode of the year 2000. I knew shyt was about to be trash when they kept mentioning the powers that be and Russo had Hennig come out and do a worked shoot.
Wasn't he going to run wcw like a separate brand but couldn't find a network even then only a few networks would fukk with wrestling because advertisers hated it.
