The week of all things "Suicide Squad" continues, and in case it isn't already clear, the movie is not likely to be your average superhero blockbuster. While there are lots of familiar faces in the cast and recognizable villains, like Jared Leto's Juggalo Joker, it's also populated by lesser known characters like Deadshot and uh, Killer Croc. That said, director David Ayer predicts his movie is going to change the game from the standard formula.

"You know, all these movies are about defeating the evil alien robot from fu*king Planet X before it destroys the world with its ticking clock. And who the fu*k cares?" he told Empire. "But you do this story about struggle and isolation and people who have been sh*t on that suddenly get thrown this lifeline... that's not so bad... I like to think of this as the Comic Book Movie 2.0."

Well, the proof will be in the tentpole pudding, though perhaps Terry Gilliam will be pleased someone is trying to break free from the expected. As for me, I like Ayer's confidence, a quality he's never lacked, but we'll see how his execution measures out on August 5, 2016.

Lets not overcomplicate things...it's a movie where the bad guys are the heroes

The End.
You mean it is a bunch of misfits/losers/outcasts who band together for a common goal and thus become the good guys in a superhero movie released in August no less. Very original, I have never seen anything like that before. lol

It's crazy....there is zero need to say anything deep about this movie as long as you drop a semi-competent trailer that illustrates that all these guys are actually some of the biggest pains in the asses of your favorite Superheros.

This movie will print money, there's no need for Ayers to try and make it something it's not lol

I feel that but at the same time, I do like a director being proud of what he's done and its his job, at least in this day and age, to sell it and sell it the best way he/she sees fit. Not mad at him for a little hyperbole

Base, it looks cool enough no need to pronounce it as the 'next' something. I'm sure it will speak for itself in that regard.
