Deray is very hurt Shaun King is getting an award from Rihanna, as she is very revered by, uh, people in his community.
Deray was slapped in Ferguson for being a clown, exposed for being a shill for McDonald’s, Verizon, and other big corps, is constantly ran down on by real activists at his events, and speaks very negatively about black men. He came up off the backs of black men who were murdered and when that hustle went away, ran off with the bag.
Their hate for Shaun King comes from jealousy that they aren’t as widely recognized or paid for their “work.” When it comes down to it, these people would do anything to make money, and it kills them they tweet all day (like Shaun) but can’t afford to take care of themselves, let alone a family.
